the moment when that bro with the serious flow and backwards baseball cap comes up to you and asks if he can have a dictionary, and you ask if it is on reserve for his course, because this is the RESERVE desk, and he says he doesn’t know, and how can he find it, and you say look it up on the computer and find the call number, and he asks if he should go to the library’s online catalog, and you smile and nod and really you’re thinking NO SHIT, DUMBASS, and then he finds the number and says it’s in the reference section, and how can he get there, and you say follow the signs in the library, and he asks if the library is organized in a particular way, and you say UM…THE DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEM, and he says, i’d rather it be alphabetical.
